My name is Cody Killian and I am the owner of Get Team Fit. I have spent the past three years dedicating myself to working out and studying the importance of good nutrition and incorporating it into my own diet. All the way up until I was fifteen or sixteen years old, I was extremely skinny. In fact, I was so skinny I even got made fun
My name is Cody Killian and I am the owner of Get Team Fit. I have spent the past three years dedicating myself to working out and studying the importance of good nutrition and incorporating it into my own diet. All the way up until I was fifteen or sixteen years old, I was extremely skinny. In fact, I was so skinny I even got made fun of in eighth grade for how skinny my arms and legs were. Once I got to ninth grade, the teasing had really built up on me and I became very self-conscious of how I looked. Everybody was so much bigger and stronger than I was, let alone the seniors that practically looked like full-grown men. This sparked a burning desire in me to make a change. I came home one day and asked my dad if he could take me to the gym. When he first introduced me to the gym, he said, “The only way to put on muscle mass is to put your blood, sweat and tears into working out and eat a ton of protein.” I took this advice to heart and made it a lifestyle. Three years later as a senior in high school, I was not only the strongest but most muscular as well. I transformed my body from 120 pounds of skin and bones to 180 pounds of muscle. Kids went from making fun of how skinny I was to asking me for advice on how to gain muscle and get stronger. I was proud of my progress and was thrilled to help people better themselves. I saw the influence I had on people and thought that it would be a cool idea to create a fitness community through social media where people can access advice, workout plans, and meal plans. I also wanted people to find their purpose and a sense of belonging through this unique fitness community. Therefore, I came up with Get Team Fit in 2019 and have been able to help many people with their fitness journeys for the past two years. I am proud to be the founder of Get Team Fit and cannot wait to continue to grow this amazing community.
